The most effective system for the seismic isolation of buildings is indoubtedly to separate the structure from the ground by inserting isolation devices.

Addition to the traditional isolation systems, such cutting columns, SOLES TECH applies the Soles™ patented technology which allows to separate the building from the ground underneath without altering the existing structures.

Due to its non-invasiveness with respect to the building and the surrounding environment, this technology is suitable for all types of work, namely on landmarks of special historic interest and is applied to existing buildings, whether they are made of masonry o reinforced concrete.

The lifting system consists of several hydraulic jacks, operated by a special control software, that apply the necessary thrust to make the lifting possible. The thrust on the lifting devices is applied on each individual jack at a time, cyclically causing on them, according to a sequence which is defined during the design phase, minor gradual shifts, with a maximum speed which, globally, can be measured as ca. 1 cm/h
